Stephen Coppin becomes Fellow of IOSH

Beyond Zero’s Director of Safety and Sustainability, Stephen Coppin, has been accepted as a Chartered Fellow of IOSH.

This is the highest level of IOSH membership which is given to those who have contributed to the health and safety profession in a public way to raise its profile. Steve is currently part of the IOSH Manchester branch where he is on the executive committee.

In his spare time he is a helper and mini rugby coach for Trafford MV and volunteered to act as CDM Co-ordinator for the £0.5 million development of their new state of the art of the art changing facilities.

Over the years he has been involved in a wide variety of campaigns and initiatives to raise the positive profile of health and safety including the DWP Jobcentre Plus Rollout Programme, HSE’s Vulnerable Workers Group, the new Safety in Design Films endorsed by RIBA and HSE. He has even developed and delivered safety training as a Warrant Officer for the T.A. Royal Engineers.

Beyond Zero’s Chief Executive, Geoff Jowett welcomed the news.
