
Free copies of the DVD have been distributed to all UK Universities running course validated by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
The DVD has been made by production company Square Circle as part of a series called ‘Health and Safety - Safeguarding People: Achieving Design Excellence.’ The DVDs are aimed at architects and other construction professionals involved in creating safe, sustainable and buildable designs.
Stephen Coppin, Beyond Zero’s Sustainability Director was part of a working group that devised training modules to accompany the DVD. He is also giving scriptwriting support on the rest of the series. The next DVD, about roofs, will be released at the end of August.
“The DVD series looks at how health, safety and sustainability must be considered at every stage of the design process. Beyond Zero are delighted to be involved in the DVDs because they have the potential to make a valuable contribution to improving health and safety standards across the construction industry,’ he said.
